Four charred to death, four hurt as tanker, truck collide in Ajmer

Ajmer: Four people were charred to death while four others were injured after a gas tanker collided headon with a trailer in Ajmer on Thursday night. Police informed the incident occurred near Rani Bagh Resort on National Highway – 8 in Ajmer.

“The collision was so strong that a series of explosions took place and fire engulfed within a 500-meter radius of the incident spot. Three of them died on the spot, while the fourth succumbed to burn injuries in hospital,” police said.

“Driver of the HP Gas tanker has been identified as Loom Singh (38). Two trucks and a few other vehicles passing through the highway also caught fire in the mishap. The four injured after presently undergoing treatment in the hospital,” police added.
