Increase milk collection, says Sushma Arora

Udaipur: Administrator and Managing Director of Rajasthan Co-operative Dairy Federation Sushma Arora visited Udaipur division and instructed the dairy officers to increase milk collection. Arora held a meeting with Udaipur Divisional Commissioner and TAD Commissioner Rajendra Bhatt and Collector Tarachand Meena on Thursday and discussed milk production and dairy development activities in the district. Arora toured Banswara, Dungarpur, Udaipur & Chittorgarh.

Arora said that the present milk collection of 1.10 lakh litres in the district was very less and said that it should be increased. Bhat assured to provide a budget of Rs 2.5 crore for dairy development activities.

District Collector Tarachand Meena suggested the need to set up milk collection centres at the panchayat level. He gave the dairy officers a target of collecting 2 lakh litres of milk per day in the next two months. He also inspected the proposed land for setting up a cattle feed plant in Udaipur.
