Indian Constitution is guiding light of democracy: Governor

Bharatpur: Rajasthan governor Kalraj Mishra on Saturday said that the Indian Constitution is the best interpretation of democracies around the world in which the citizens have also been made aware of the duties along with the rights.

Speaking at a programme at Maharaja Surajmal Brij University in Bharatpur, he said that the Constitution of India is not only an important document made for the governance system and running the state, but it is the guiding light pillar, through which the democratic system of the country operates.

He said that the constitution, culture, and nation all complement each other and none can be separated.

He also laid the foundation stone of a statue of the former ruler of Bharatpur Maharaja Suraj Mal on the occasion. Bharatpur MP Rajeeta Koli said that after the Constitution Park’s opening, the future generation’s curiosity to know about the Constitution would be awakened.
