Man falls into pit, dies; Birla condoles death

Kota: In the vicinity of the station area, on Monday morning, a biker fell into a pit while he was returning with his two children from coaching.

The water in the pit contained a current, which electrocuted the rider while both of his children survived. After the accident, the traders of the area expressed their anger and created a ruckus in the mortuary of MBS Hospital. They were adamant on Rs 30 lakh compensation and government job to the wife of the deceased.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla reached the spot and met the family members and expressed consolation. MLA Sandeep Sharma also expressed concern over the accident.

The relatives and traders alleged negligence of UIT and electricity company KEDL. The deceased Sonu Meena is survived by his mother, wife and two children.
