Man gets death penalty for rape, murder of minor

Chittorgarh: A POCSO Court in Chittorgarh awarded death sentence to an accused for murdering a three year-old girl, who had come to a wedding function after raping her and throwing her body into a well.

SPP Shobhalal Jat said that on April 22, 2022, a person from Bhilwara district reported at Bassi police station that he had come with his family to a village in Bassi for a wedding. He said that when he woke up in the morning, his daughter was missing. Upon inquiring it was found that accused Ramesh had raped and killed her.

The presiding officer, after hearing both the parties, held the accused guilty.
