NCW team reaches Kota, to meet victim, students

Kota: A team from National Commission for Women reached Kota on Friday to inquiry into the matter of seeking sexual favors from a female student by an associate professor of Rajasthan Technical University (RTU). Meanwhile, another female student of the university came out with similar allegations against the suspended professor Girish Parmar and lodged a case of demanding sexual favors and harassment with Dadabari police station. NCW’s 3-member team led by Geeta Bhatt, member of NCW’s advisory committee, held a meeting with Kota city SP Kesar Singh Shekhawat and took stock of the findings, facts and course of action in the case against RTU’s suspended professor Garish Parmar. The case was filed by a 21-year-old final year student of RTU. ‘The team will inquire into the matter, will meet with the victim and others who are willing to share something in the matter’, Geeta Bhatt said.
