Patwari held taking bribe for 2nd time, 1st case is still in a court

Bikaner: A Patwari of Colonization Department in Bikaner was held for the second time while taking bribe while his earlier graft case is till pending the court. Bikaner outpost of Anti-Corruption Bureau nabbed Patwari Gopal Singh Rajpurohit, who has the additional charge of Ramgarh in Jaisalmer, was held taking Rs 20,000 from a farmer.

Rajpurohit demanded a bribe of Rs 40,000 in the name of giving account of the farm of a farmer Noor Mohammad. He met Noor on Monday near MN Hospital in Bikaner. As soon as Noor Mohammad gave the money, the team led by CI Anand Mishra caught him.

Rajpurohit was arrested in 2012 also for taking bribe of Rs 5,000. He was convicted by the court on June 24 but he went on appeal.

Despite serious allegations like bribery, Gopal Singh Rajpurohit was not only given the field work of Patwari but was also given additional charge of Ramgarh.
