Bhilwara: A priest, accused of molesting a minor girl, consumed poisonous substance on Wednesday after he was arrested by police in Mandal town of Bhilwara district. Police informed the accused Sarjudas Maharaj is the chief priest of Hanuman Temple (Dang) located in Ghodas village under Mandal Police Station area.

“Sarjudas Maharaj was arrested on Wednesday on charges of sexually exploiting a minor girl. While he was being taken to the police station, the priest consumed some poisonous substance and his condition deteriorated thereon. He was immediately rushed to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital where he is presently undergoing treatment,” police said.
