Rahul Gandhi interacts with Dalits, Muslims, tribals and entrepreneurs

Sawai Madhopur: The Bharat Jodo Yatra started from Jeenapur of Sawai Madhopur district on Tuesday. In the morning session of the yatra, thousands of people joined the yatra till Surwal Bypass. While walking, Rahul Gandhi interacted with two groups. A group of Muslim youth raised several issues before Gandhi, including the closure of the Maulana Azad National Fellowship by the central government. The second conversation was with a group of Dalit youth who specially raised the issues related to land and lawsuits filed against the people of SC-ST community during Bharat Bandh on 2 April 2018 by the BJP government. After listening to both the groups, Gandhi asked PCC President Govind Singh Dotasra, who is walking along with him, to talk to the Chief Minister on the issues and take action.

After the talks, both the groups said that Rahul Gandhi listened to them carefully and assured them of action on matters that come under state govt’s purview. Congress party’s communication incharge Jairam Ramesh said that on Dec 16, Rahul Gandhi will address a press conference in Dausa district at 1 pm. In the afternoon, Rahul Gandhi visited Ambedkar Memorial Welfare Society, Center for Dalit Rights, Rajasthan Balmiki Manch, Udaan Manav Seva Samiti, Aghaz Foundation, Rights Resource Centre, Ambedkar Study Centre, working for the development and welfare of Dalit community in Rajasthan and interacted with representatives of Vyas University and many other people associated with this community. Gandhi listened to all and requested the CM, sitting with him, to solve the problems at the state level. In evening leg of the Yatra also two groups mainly of youth accompanied Rahul Gandhi. Anand Sharma, Mukul Wasnik, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Sachin Pilot, Pramod Jain Bhaya, Ramlal Jat, BS Bhati, Rajendra Gudha, Ramesh Meena, Bhajan Lal Jatav, Zahida Khan, Divya Maderna, Amin Kagzi, Rafeek Khan, Mukesh Bhakhar, Ramniwas Gaondia, Indra Meena, Mahendra Gehlot, Sandeep Chaudhary and others participated on Tuesday
