Rape accused Gemara to be arrested at Waga

Barmer: Gemara Ram, who returned to India from Pakistan on Tuesday, will be arrested by the Barmer police. Gemara is wanted in a rape case and a team has been sent to Wagah border to arrest him. Narpat Singh Rathore, additional superintendent of police confirmed the report.

According to the police on basis of a complaint, Bijrad police in Barmer had booked Gemara Ram in a rape case. The case against Gemara Ram was lodged by his girlfriend’s father. Police said that the team had reached there to arrest Gemara Ram and he will be taken to Barmer after which he would be produced before the court.

It mentioned here that in November 2020, Gemara Ram Meghwal (17), a resident of Kumharo Ka Tiba of Sajjan Ka Paar village under Bijrad police station area in Barmer district, fled to Pakistan fearing infamy after he was caught while entering his girlfriend’s house.
