SARDARSHAHAR RECORDS 72.09% VOTER TURN OUT IN BY-ELECTION

Sardarshahar: The voting for the by-election of the Sardarshahar assembly constituency was held on Monday. The polling was held peacefully in the constituency barring a few places where Congress and BJP workers clashed with each other. Around 72.09% voting recorded in Sardarshahar by-election.

A total of 10 candidates including the candidates of BJP, Congress and RLPA were in the fray for the by-election. Long queues for voting were witnessed even after 5 pm outside polling booths.

Workers of BJP and Congress clashed with each after fake voting was reported at booth number 115 located in Government Upper Primary School No. 11 of Sardarshahar. At booth number 135 of Darul Uloom Ahle Sunnat Gosia, BJP and Congress clashed over an issue. Later, SP Digant Anand reached spot and took situation under control. Counting on Dec 8.
