Shah takes on Rahul, Gehlot over inflation, crime, vote bank politics

Jodhpur: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday targeted Rahul Gandhi over the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’, saying the Congress leader had once said India is not a nation and is now out to “unite” the country wearing a “foreign-make” T-shirt.

Addressing the Rajasthan BJP’s booth functionaries, he also hit out at the state government over the murder of Udaipur tailor Kanhaiya Lal by Muslim extremists & Karauli violence & alleged Cong can only practice politics of vote bank and appeasement.

In his address at Ravan ka Chabutra ground in Jodhpur Shah cited banning of procession during Ram Navami & razing of 300-year-old temple in Alwar and took a dig at Gehlot govt, said he has planned riots in many cities of Raj.

Shah said that if Gehlot cannot handle the situation, he must quit. “People are ready to bring BJP to power. Mahant Vijay Das was forced to commit suicide in Bharatpur, but no action was taken against mining mafia. Gehlot has no control over the administration,” he said.

He said that Vasundhara Raje provided free treatment up to Rs 3 lakh. Through the Bhamashah scheme, treatment facilities were made available to every person.
