Speaker Birla hears public grievances in Kota
Kota: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Thursday heard public grievances in a public hearing at the camp office in Shakti Nagar. A large number of people reached the camp office with their problems. After listening to the problems of the people, he directed the concerned officers to take appropriate action to resolve the matters.
During this, farmers from Baran district felicitated the Speaker by garlanding him. They said that due to the efforts of Om Birla, the farmers of gram and garlic have got a big relief.
The gram farmers were demanding procurement of gram at MSP. In this regard, they had also met the Lok Sabha Speaker several times. After the efforts of Om Birla, 40 quintals of gram are now being procured at MSP.
Birla, who came on a visit to his parliamentary constituency, also reviewed the works and schemes of the water supply department in the Kota-Bundi area.
