Speaker Birla urges students to study without stress, reach out to him

Kota: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has urged students coming to Rajasthan’s Kota city to study without any stress and reach out to him in case of any trouble.

Addressing the students on New Year’s eve, he also touched upon rising concern among parents over the aspirants taking their lives after failing to crack various competitive exams.

“Students should not be depressed about their studies. Life is full of challenges and one who is determined and works hard for his goal never fails,” he said on Saturday.

Meanwhile, on the very first day of the New Year, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has taken a big initiative for the empowerment of women in rural areas. Inaugurating the Suposhit Maa Abhiyan for pregnant women of rural areas in Itawa, Birla said that the women will be kept healthy and they will also be linked to selfemployment through self-help groups.

Addressing the program organised in the Hanumanji temple complex of the Akhara, Birla said that in Indian culture, women are called the mother of the world. He said that pregnant women suffering from nutritional deficiency are not able to give birth to healthy babies.

“We do not want these mothers to be unhealthy and give birth to unhealthy babies. For this purpose, nutrition kits will be given to the identified pregnant women for nine months,” he said.
