Wanted dacoit carrying cash reward arrested after 24 years

Bharatpur: The District Special Team of Bharatpur has arrested Girdhari, an inter-state dacoit who has been absconding for 24 years. More than 1 dozen cases are registered against the accused in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. A reward of Rs 8,000 has also been announced by the Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh police on the arrest of the accused. The accused dacoit was absconding in the case of seven dacoities and five murders. After 22 days of the continuous chase, the DST team arrested the accused Girdhari from the Yamuna’s Khadar in the Basai Mohammadpur area of Firozabad police station.
