Jaipur: The Medical and Health Minister Dr Raghu Sharma congratulated the team of Medical and Health Department as Dholpur district secured the highest rank across the country, in health and nutrition reforms in the ranking released by NITI Aayog.
Additional Chief Secretary, Medical and Health Rohit Kumar Singh said that according to the latest ranking released by NITI Aayog, Dholpur district has secured the first place in the country in the parameter of reforms in the field of health and nutrition.
He informed that NITI Aayog released a ranking of 112 districts of the country on November 6, out of which, three districts of the state have made it to the top 10.
Singh said that in the delta rankings of August and September, 5 districts of the Rajasthan State were listed, out of which Dholpur district secured first place, Baran fourth place, and Sirohi district bagged the sixth position and gained national importance.
Two other districts of the state, Karauli secured 33rd and Jaisalmer occupied 35th position in the released ranking of NITI Aayog.
According to the ‘Aspirational Districts’ programme by NITI Aayog, in all the districts of the country, the ranking is issued on the basis of 49 different parameters and performance based on the reforms in the health sector.
Under this, the progress of the implementation of the schemes of the Centre at the local level is observed.
It is worth noting that even before this, under the leadership of the Health Minister, the Chief Minister’s Free Medicine Scheme running in the state of Rajasthan had secured the first place in the entire country among 16 big states running under the Free Medicine Scheme by the National Health Mission.
