Alwar hosp ready for Coronavirus patients

Alwar: A 288-bed hospital has been set up in Alwar for suspected Coronavirus patients coming in. Following the direction of the Centre, observation wards have been set up in 96 rooms on 10 floors of the girl’s hostel in the ESIC Hospital. The Indians, who were airlifted from China, would be kept under observation in these wards. As of now, all the airlifted people have been kept in a 300-bed special camp in Manesar. They will be brought to Alwar if there is a lack of space in Manesar. No patient arrived in Alwar till Tuesday morning.

Hospital’s Nodal officer Dr Ravi Sharma said that no information has been received about any suspected patient being brought to Alwar.

Meanwhile, the state government breathed easy on Tuesday after the investigative reports of 17 suspect cases were reported negative. Total 21 suspected cases of dreaded coronavirus were detected by the Medical officials in the state.

Now only four more medical investigation reports are awaited for final confirmation as visibly none seem to be infected.

The JLN Hospital officials in Ajmer were particularly worried for three suspected patients in their isolation ward. This included a couple who had gone to China on their honeymoon.

The third case was of a youth from Sindhi Colony, Kishangarh. Everybody at the hospital heaved a sigh of relief after a negative report was received.
