Jaipur: The Ashok Gehlot govt on Wednesday released the orders for the appointment of 2,024 live stock assistants across the state. The Animal health sector will immensely benefit with more than 2000 young health assistants joining the force. Animal Husbandry minister Lalchand Kataria informed that 1,791 assistants will be joining in non-scheduled areas while 233 would serve in scheduled areas.
All have been informed to join on vacant posts said Kataria while adding that this was in accordance with the budget announcement made by CM Gehlot. The CM in his Budget speech had announced opening up of new veterinary health facilities to expand the animal health infrastructure. The appointment of more than 2,000 youth was entangled in legalities and it was constant pursuance by the minster that after ensuring favorable court decision he could get the appointment orders released in time.
To achieve this the minister ensured a close coordination between his department officers and officials at Staff Selection Board. The direct recruitment exam for Live Stock Assistants was conducted in October 2018 and the results were declared in January 2019 but few candidates who had challenged the selection process in HC.
Kataria made sure that his department used legal team wisely and did not let long legal procedure mar the prospects of youth.
