Farmers’ meet to mark govt’s 1st anniversary

Jaipur: A state-level farmers’ meet along with several other events have been lined up to mark the first anniversary celebrations of the state government led by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. Apart from farmers, cattlemen and those working in farming industry would also attend the meet.

In the past one year, Gehlot government has taken many people friendly decisions especially for the farmers whose loan were waived off within 10 days of his government taking oath on December 17, 2018.

The government is now set to announce a new agriculture marketing scheme. A Cabinet sub-committee has also been constituted to oversee the anniversary programmes. Many more welfare schemes and people friendly decisions are likely to be made as a part of the anniversary celebrations. Although, the chief minister has made it clear that the anniversary would be observed in a simple manner.

The CM who is conscious about people’s health has instructed to start several health related schemes including ‘Nirogi Rajasthan’ campaign, Janata Clinic and Jan Aadhar Card. A run for Nirogi Rajasthan would also be held on the government’s anniversary date.

A new industrial policy, Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme (RIPS) besides a revolutionary ‘one stop solution’ in place of ‘single window system’ to create a conducive environment for industrial investment is also proposed on this occasion.

CM’s job bonanza to help solve revenue issues of farmers

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved the proposal for recruitment on 470 posts of Patwaris, 124 posts of Tehsil Revenue Accountants and 101 posts of Naib Tehsildars in the Department of Land Management, on Friday.

The Chief Minister had announced recruitment on 4,646 posts related to the Revenue Department in the state Budget this year.

Regarding this, the approval of recruitment on all these posts, including 3,951 posts in the Revenue Department, 116 posts in the Colonisation Department and 470 posts in the Land Management Department, has been provided.

These 4,646 posts include 4,421 of Patwaris, 124 of Tehsil Revenue Accountants and 101 of Naib Tehsildars, a release said.

The state government is serious about settling pending revenue cases of the craftsmen. Recruitment on these posts will facilitate quick resolving of complicated revenue cases of the farmers across the state pending for a long time.

The filling of these vacancies in Revenue, Colonisation and Land Management departments will provide a boost to revenue works and more employment opportunities for unemployed youth in the state.
