Youth should be aware of our culture

Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot urged the youth on Saturday to also look into literature, culture and sacraments in the society along with being abrest with social media.

Terming that an all round approach will help in increasing their mental capacity while also keeping them up-to date and intune with the rest of the world. Stating that the writers have the power to provide the right path to the society, Gehlot stressed that his government will leave no stone unturned in giving honor and facilities to writers and journalists.

Speaking at the Indralok Auditorium during Kavya Sandhya organised by Kavya Foundation, the Congress stalwart stated that literature is a mirror to a country’s past, present and future. “The Rajasthan Government will soon organise the Rajasthan Literature Festival to promote writers.”

Quoting Ravindra Nath Tagore’s words that Humanity is bigger than Nationalism, Gehlot said that in the current environment across the country when humanity will be no more, how will we find nationalism? “We will have to remember this as today an environment of fake nationalism is being created while doing away with humanity. Keeping in mind the spirit of the Constitution, we should promote brotherhood and literature has a huge role in this,” CM said.

Gehlot also released a book by journalist Nandini called ‘House of Butterfly’ while also releasing a book by Dr Parikshit.
