Society has to come forward to stop rape incidents: DGP Bhupendra Yadav

Ajmer: Director General of Police Bhupendra Yadav was on a tour of Ajmer on Wednesday, where he took a meeting of the police officers at the auditorium in Police Line.

While interacting with the media after the meeting, DGP Yadav said that the Rajasthan Police is alert after the incident in Hyderabad and a special check is being kept over women crime and rape cases. The DGP was welcomed in Ajmer with a guard of honour.

Police have become more serious about the safety of women and continuous efforts are going on to provide more police assistance to women, Yadav added. The point is being considered at the police headquarters level. The priorities of the police were also discussed in the meeting. There has also been a discussion about how more work can be done for the welfare of the family of police personnel.
