State BJP is divided and direction-less, says Pilot

Jaipur: The Deputy Chief Minister and Congress President Sachin Pilot has claimed that Congress will be forming board in 30 to 32 bodies of the state. He said independent councillors are also coming with us and the minister in charge and the organization officials are monitoring the entire matter.

After the public hearing on his residence, Pilot replied on BJP’s allegations that they are facing internal protests within the party. BJP wants to eliminate Cong from the country and always keeps its opposition under its control. However, we don’t indulge in such petty politics, instead, we look forward to a powerful opposition in the assembly. At present, the state BJP is divided and directionless. They should listen to our issues being raised. However, we are unable to see a confident opposition in them. Their internal tussle led to their poor show in the local body elections. Speaking about the mandate, he said clearly the people voted for Cong. The councillors are free to vote anyone and if independent councillors vote for Cong, nobody should have any problem with their move. Although NDA won 300-350 seats in LS polls, it only had 38% of votes which signifies 62% of people rejected them. However, Cong has emerged as the biggest party in the local body elections.

No boundation on councillors

On the question of fencing councillors, Sachin Pilot said our councillors are free and unlike BJP, we do not believe in keeping them under any restriction. The saffron party had kept their MLAs in hotels and resorts with network jammers after the assembly elections but we didn’t.

Two municipal corporations decision right

He affirmed the decision of having two corporations as right as a smaller area means better service to the common man. Everyone welcomed this decision.
