Will review progress in Jodhpur whenever I visit city: Gehlot

Jodhpur: During the Jodhpur stay on Thursday, CM Ashok Gehlot attended various programmes in the city along with taking a meeting of officers of different departments at NIC Bhavan in Collectorate auditorium.

He took the information on seasonal diseases including dengue from the officers of the Medical and Health Department and also reviewed the arrangements being made in this regard.

In addition to Health Department, Gehlot also took the feedback from other departments regarding water, electricity, cleanliness and roads. During the meeting, officers of the district administration were also present apart from the principal officers of the departments. It was the first time that such a meeting has taken place at night.

Talking to media after the meeting, CM said that it is the district of the Chief Minister and he will meet the officials when ever he visits the city. On the question of development in Jodhpur, the CM said, “I had come to review the situation this time, we will meet properly next time.” All the public representatives will also be present in that meeting. Gehlot also said that the graph of dengue has now come down and the condition of roads in Jodhpur will also be improved soon.

Karauli and Dausa get 2 new tehsils

Jaipur: CM Gehlot has given approval to proposal of creating two new Tehsils in Karauli & Dausa districts. As per the proposal, sub tehsil Suroth in Karauli will be promoted as new tehsil while Rahuwas of Dausa will be made new tehsil. This will make it easier for people of the areas to get their revenue related works completed on time. Gehlot had made announcement of constituting these tehsils during his budget speech.
