With Vaibhav at the helm, now it’s cricket Raj in state

Jaipur: With the formation of the executive body of the RCA, Cricket of the state is getting back on track. Before assuming the work in new office, RCA President Vaibhav Gehlot will be organising a U-19 cricket tournament from October 21. The tournament will be organized in 8 cities of the state and its first-round will last till October 25. This domestic tournament is being organized in the state after about 5 years. RCA secretary Mahendra Sharma informed that the complete program of the tournament will be issued soon. The decision of organising matches at two places in one zone has been taken.

Meanwhile, the decision on the new office of RCA has also been taken. The new Executive Body won’t be working from the current office as it is considered to be inauspicious. A new office will now be made in the RCA academy itself. The basement will be used for officials and employees associated with administrative works, while on the third floor, the chambers of RCA office bearers will be erected. The work of the new office will start soon and after that, Vaibhav Gehlot will formally assume the work in the RCA office. Currently Vaibhav is meeting people associated with cricket and Congress at Bungalow number B-3 which is situated at Bhagat Singh Marg in C-Scheme. This bungalow has been allotted in the name of agriculture minister Lalchand Kataria.

The first AGM under the chairmanship of Vaibhav will be held after Diwali. As per the sources, the AGM will be on November 2. In this meeting, the formation of other committees along with selection committees will take place and other important decisions related to cricket will be taken.
